Wash clean herbs if necessary. Add the amount of water set out in prescription note to submerge the herbs marked COOK FIRST in ceramic or stainless steel cooking pot. Bring to a boil with high fire, and boil for 15 minutes.
Add and Submerge rest of the herbs. Bring to a boil with high fire and boil for about 15 minutes. Simmer at lower fire until reduced to one bowl (250-300ml), drain and filter decoction into a bowl. Drink the decoction as directed in the prescription note.
Dispose the cooked herbs as kitchen waste.
Prescribed herbs should be used according to the schedule set out in the prescription. Beyond the schedule, the same herbs should not be used without consulting a Chinese Medicine practitioner.
Herbs should be kept in a dry and cool environment. Keep out of reach of children. Keep it save from potential damage by insects and animals, etc.
